Our at Heather Way in Mill Valley, CA demonstrates our commitment to quality and creativity. This residential landscape was a full remodel directed towards improving function and aesthetics to the front and back yards. We selected a careful balance of native plants, such as, California poppies, lavender and ferns that created a varied and serene landscape for a site, that will flourish in the local environment's best interests. Locally obtained materials were used for natural stone pathways and retaining walls throughout the site to improve structural integrity, while blending into the environment aesthetically. One of the main challenges we faced was the slope of the site. We came up with design solutions for tiered garden beds that improved drainage and created visual focus. We used erosion control techniques with native ground covers to stabilize slopes to control runoff, and enhance the longevity of the landscape. There is a wooden terrace deck built for entertaining and enjoying the exceptional views of the surrounding hills. Ambient lighting for the outdoor space was installed for evening use. When the was complete and built to a high quality, the homeowners were exuberant with the transformation. The new landscape increased curb appeal, while also providing a quiet environment to enjoy gatherings or just relax with family. Bon Terra Landscapes inc attended to every detail while practicing sustainability to create a dreamy outdoor landscape that pleased our clients and worked in harmony with the natural beauty of Mill Valley.
