About This Project

Intimate Garden The 'Intimate Garden' was implemented by Michael J. Dul & Associates, Inc. in a suburb populated with people using areas like Auburn Hills, Birmingham, and Troy. It remade the outdoor spaces by merging calmness with elegance and presented an artful combination of native plants with custom-built hardscaping. To create an inviting atmosphere, there was a diverse palette of perennials and ornamental shrubs, creating seasonal interests and events while also supporting local biodiversity. Some key elements of the garden included an elaborately shaped stone path using locally sourced flagstones that traversed other plants and bushes. A custom wooden trellis was added alongside climbing vines to give more height and interest to the plan; and even isolated hidden areas to get away. Eventually, we faced challenges with uneven land, drainage patterns, and getting water away from certain areas in the garden. Our team engineered into the design a broad grading system and a French drain that took care of all the water flow while tidying the look of the garden. As a whole, the outcome was beneficial and pleasurable and distinct to the client's experience - an intimate socializing area that also combined form and function. The represented craftsmanship, quality, and an individualized outdoor space design for a specific client. The 'Intimate Garden' illustrated our work and craftsmanship to a high standard within the industry and traditions of landscaping and contributed to lasting impressions in our communities.
