Kid Friendly Garden, Entertainment Space Based on an Application from In Harmony Sustainable Landscapes Tucked into Alderwood Manor and recently finished by In Harmony Sustainable Landscapes is the 'Kid-Friendly Garden, Entertainment Space' . This colorful is a perfect example of how landscaping can be both functional and appealing. The focused on families with children, transforming an ordinary backyard into an enchanting place for kids and adults. The new landscaping includes a rainbow of native plants to attract wildlife while giving children an opportunity to learn the importance of biodiversity. A safe play area meets all the requirements needed for a safe, durable space to play with natural wood mulch for soft landings. The most unique part of the landscape is the custom-designed, eco-friendly climbing structure made from reclaimed cedar that fits beautifully into the backyard. For entertaining, a large patio created with permeable pavers manages rainwater runoff and is a wonderful gathering space equipped with a fire pit made from locally sourced stone, producing heat and ambiance that brings families together into the evenings. One of the greatest challenges was creating a landscape that was both exciting and adventurous for children while also creating a calming place for adults to relax. We solved this challenge by creating discrete areas in the landscape, including a sensory path made with different forms and textures to discover and unique seating areas with fragrant herbs. The s result has provided a wonderful blend of fun, education, and relaxation for children and their families which was the goal of this . The newly redesigned landscape increases the quality of their outdoor living space while instilling a sense of ownership and responsibility to nature.
