West Seattle Waterfront Property In Harmony Sustainable Landscapes was honored to undertake the transformation of a beautiful waterfront property in West Seattle, where the incredible natural beauty of Puget Sound meets excellent landscape design. Our goal was to enhance the natural setting while remaining ecologically conscious and respectful to the environment. This included a thoughtfully designed combination of native vegetation, drought-tolerant types, and natural-stone paths and walkways to create inviting space that complemented the magnificent waterfront views. Utilizing local materials and natural stone elements not only minimized the carbon footprint but also embraced an ecology unique to the area. The site posed some challenges, including the sloping topography descending to the water's edge. To address this, we developed tiered gardens that provided an aesthetically pleasing design while adequately draining, retaining soil. We further increasing the ecological footprint of the by implementing a rain garden for capturing storm runoff, which also created habitat for local wildlife. The final result was stunning. The gardens merged together incredible softscape with hardscape to create a beautiful outdoor living space that our clients could enjoy for years to come. The views of the water dedicated to an epic view will transport you away from the bustle of everyday life in the city.
