About This Project

Wicker Park Oasis The Wicker Park Oasis is designed by Brent Riechers Landscape (BRL LANDesign) and represents a balance between nature and urban living. Set within the lively sprawl of Chicago, this profoundly improvement style was customized to offer a serene refuge for a specific consumer who wished to flee the noise of metropolis life. This beautifully designed area includes a beautiful selection of native flora for sustainability and year-round appeal. A custom natural stone water feature that creates sounds to tranquilize focus is the center of this oasis. An assortment of perennial flowers and ornamental grasses forms a dense tapestry of color and texture around the water feature in the landscape, inviting butterflies and birds to join the space. With a small, narrow yard to work with, BRL LANDesign had to find innovative ways to ensure the yard was functional and aesthetically pleasing. We used vertical gardening techniques as well as raised beds in certain parts to make the most out of the space while adding depth and dimension. We have also incorporated the use of reclaimed wood to provide borders for the garden area and for the sitting areas, building up character and ensuring that the aesthetics are also eco-friendly. Only external and landscape elements composed of good quality materials, permeable pavers are used in pathways ensuring effective drainage and reducing flooding. He energy-efficient overhead LED lights showcase the landscape at night, allowing the space to feel like a hidden magical retreat at night. The end result: a gorgeous Wicker Park Oasis that surpassed the clients expectation for a natural retreat while weaving seamlessly into the urban fabric. This highlights down to the minutia, the BRL LANDesign perspective of quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction, with attention to , and ardent execution of detail creating a perfect synergetic balance of outdoor space.
