October 2023 Lincoln Park Fall Annuals Brent Riechers Landscape (BRL LANDesign) Location Lincoln Park, Chicago, IL Brent Riechers Landscape (BRL LANDesign) had an intriguing design on their hands - taking a simple outdoor space and turning it into a warm, inviting area where home-owners could enjoy Autumn. We designed and planted a beautiful fall annual garden that perfectly showcases gold marigolds, deep purple asters and bright red petunias against the green backdrop of the rest of the property. There were a few challenges with the as the Chicago weather made planting a tricky endeavor and the planting had to be sympathetic to the existing architecture. Experienced in tackling these hurdles, we were able to use quality soil amendments and organic fertilizers to nurture the plants during the late season. We had to be precise; we planned in ornamental accoutrements (like slabbed stones edged around plants and seasonal decorative mulch) that both looked nice and helped the soil. We couldn't have been happier with the end resulta beautiful array of colours that burst to life and elicited a delighted response from our client as well as flattering comments from many passerbys. The Lincoln Park Fall Annuals showcases BRL LANDesigns' quality craftsmanship and landscaping solutions to not only the property, but to the entire neighborhood. We are passionate creating outdoor spaces that are inspired by beauty and functional, which means every season is another reason to celebrate.
