Rose Cottage by Hess Landscape Architects Located in the center of Lansdale, the Rose Cottage represents the artistry and professionalism that Hess Landscape Architects brings to all of our s. This charming residential landscape transforms a simple cottage into a peaceful garden escape, blending native landscape beauty with modern materials. Among the key elements of the landscape at Rose Cottage, the vibrantly colored rose bushes that blossom during the season serve both as visual interest and an aroma that saturates the air. To further enhance the aesthetics of this residential garden, we installed a meandering gravel path made from local riverstone that gently leads immaterials surrounding the property to a quiet gazebo. One of the largest challenges of the was the slope of the existing property, which required thoughtful terracing solutions. Our design utilizes natural boulders and wood retaining walls that work within the landscape while maintaining stability around the cottage and minimizing erosion. The mulching is garden friendly, creates warmth in the garden, and retains soil moisture for sustainable growth. The end result created a beautiful assortment of color, texture, and form that was a joy to the client and further enhanced the charm of the property. Truly, the property is so calming, you will want to spend time outdoors instead of indoors.
