About This Project

### Lakeside Dr. Residence This beautiful landscaping by Myers + Co. Landscape Architecture shows how nature and design come together perfectly at Lakeside Drive. Helping the lively communities around Louisville, including Brownsboro Farm and Indian Hills, we were given the opportunity to improve the long outdoor area of this elegant residence to be more functional and attractive. There were many beautiful elements in the , including a custom stone patio made of natural stone, sourced from a local supplier, that connects the patio to the surrounding landscape. A soft path made of reused wood directs guest through designed gardens of native plants that are grown for their natural strengths and benefits to the wildlife of the area. An important obstacle to consider was the natural slope of the site. Our team developed tiered gardens made of erosion-resistant materials, with decorative boulders to support the slope and to add an appealing feature. The native shrubs and perennials simplify maintenance while also enhancing the sustainability of the gardens. Along with the gardens, we added a calm water feature that includes a bubbling waterfall to provide calming sounds near the gathering space. This creates a focal point in the space while promoting tranquility, as indicated as part of the client's vision for this space. The end result is beautiful outdoor space at Lakeside Dr. Residence that is a stunning centerpiece with the home. The final quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail in the satisfied the client who can now enjoy a prompt landscape that extends between the home and the beauty of nature. Myers + Co.
