4th St. Residence - Hinsdale, IL Complete by Myers + Co. Landscape Architecture Located in Hinsdale, IL, the 4th St. Residence by Myers + Co. Landscape Architecture masterfully fused creativity with functionality and transformed a simple yard into a spectacular outdoor space. We began the with a thorough site evaluation to provide a site solution to the specific topographical constraints while celebrating the natural environment. Features incorporated at the property include a well-crafted high-end bluestone patio that provides a sophisticated yet durable surface for entertaining; native plantings that offer not only seasonal depth but increased biodiversity and connection between the home and adjacent properties; as well as a custom-built fire pit made from natural stone that adds to the gathering element of the yard, creating a place to enjoy evenings under the stars with family. Another challenge we faced was a drainage issue at the property. To relieve the property of the drainage issues we created a grading solution with a French drain to manage the existing water and prevent future flooding. This solution provided the landscaping investment to endure and provided the best function of the site. The culmination of the is an extraordinary landscape that relates to the home while providing a space for homeowners to unwind.
