Outdoor Chimnea by Myers + Co. Landscape Architecture Located in the scenic neighborhoods of Louisville the 'Outdoor Chimnea' by Myers + Co. Landscape Architecture transformed a backyard into an inviting outdoor escape. The design focuses on a stunning custom built chimnea made with durable weather resistant materials to create a beautiful outdoor space providing adventure and relaxation. The design includes a beautifully paved patio area with visually appealing quality natural stone paving selected to compliment the existing landscape. Next to the patio, lush plantings of native perennials and ornamental grasses create a tapestry of vibrant colors and textures that bloom every year. The biggest challenge for the was the sloped uneven site and creating a grading scheme for drainage to ensure longevity and use. The was successful in developing a comprehensive drainage design to protect the chimnea area and the viability of the entire landscape. Overall, the successfully blends nature and architecture to develop an appealing space for leisure and entertainment. Most of all the client was very pleased with the craftsmanship and effort that goes into every Myers + Co. . The Outdoor Chimnea was an inviting draw for family gatherings and fire side chats at night, the essence of outdoor living.
