Oaks Way Residence - Myers + Co. Landscape Architecture The Oaks Way Residence is a wonderful example of landscape architecture in action, where the design and execution were done by Myers + Co. Landscape Architecture, located in a calm neighborhood. Serviceable neighborhood communities include Brownsboro Farm, Green Spring, Hurstbourne Acres, and many others. We were able to create a vision by linking nature and living. The design incorporates beautiful native plantings that highlight the natural beauty of the property while creating biodiversity. Classy and ornamental grasses, perennials of color, and seasonal blossoming all provide interest throughout the year. Trees, including several beautiful oaks, coupled with their shade, provide a canopy of interest. The involved quality materials in the construction of beautiful stone paths throughout the landscape and easy navigation for walking and exploring. The paths were made of limestone that was locally sourced and will provide continuity and outreach for generations. The property posed a design challenge because of its unlevel and sloped elevation change across the property. We'd overcome this challenge by creating a grading solution to the that was efficient and visually appealing to the overall . Some of the grades were terraced gardens to help stabilize the soil, but also provide additional space for flowering plants. The final outcome was a beautiful outdoor living space with a custom, designed patio made for entertaining, to provide seating, and a fire pit for family gatherings or intimate gatherings on cooler evenings in the outdoors. The overall outcome exceeded the expectations that the clients had at Oaks Way Residence's, and the property overall was enhanced with the landscape design and the outcome provided a very serene retreat for the owners. As designers, it makes us proud to have our client's features of quality and detail delivered back. As it is our mission at Myers + Co.
