Curb Appeal - A Landscaping by Pierce Hill Design, Ltd. Pierce Hill Design, Ltd. is proud to present Curb Appeal, a beautiful landscaping that completely changed the exterior of this lovely home in Westchester County. Working throughout the beautiful towns of Amawalk, Armonk, Bedford Hills, and surrounding towns, our team was given the opportunity to enhance the property's visual interest while still being sensitive to the existing natural beauty of the space. Our approach to this started with an evaluation of the old landscape that consisted of overgrown shrubs, outdated pathways, and a uninspiring lawn. Our design team proposed a unified plan for the property that included native plants, sustainable materials, and pragmatic things to enhance the home's aesthetics while minimizing the environmental impact. Some key features of this included a front garden that was thoughtfully designed to include a harmonious vibrant assortment of native perennials and ornamental grasses, selected entirely for their seasonal color and low maintenance. We included a visually stunning bluestone walkway to enhance the entrance and safety of the house (at night we featured LED lights, to further facilitate a sensibility of safety and charm). We constructed a beautiful custom cedar fence to create privacy, yet offer warmth while visually anchoring the design. An ongoing challenge of this was the issues with the old landscape: access, drenching, and uneven terrain. To solve this issue, we graded the landscape into a thoughtful tiered design, offering a permanent fix for all drainage issues and delivering physical depth and three-dimensional life to the garden. In the end, the resulted in a stunning transformation. The clients were delighted, as they could now appreciate their home and all of the new aspects which contributed to realizing this new appealing atmosphere in concert with nature. The final result of 'Curb Appeal' not only represents our commitment to crafting fine outdoor living spaces, but serves as a reminder of the dream wiithin our community.
