About This Project

Uncovering a Gem - Atlanta, GA Tilting Windmill Landscape Design undertook the Uncovering a Gem, which involved a transformation of an underutilized outdoor area in Atlanta. The goal of this was to rejuvenate the unique outdoor area into a beautiful & functional garden. This included a unique combination of native plants to promote biodiversity and require minimal maintenance. The site utilized high-quality stone pavers to create welcoming pathways that undulated through beautiful gardens. A custom-built fire pit and furnishings marked the focal area for congregating, and architectural landscape lighting was sited to accentuate the area for evening enjoyment at the home. Like most growing areas, site challenges compounded workable area. The site was unequally graded - requiring grading solutions that facilitated acceptable drainage and aesthetics. With creativity and deep knowledge, our team was able to incorporate natural boulders to lead to a balance of hardscape and softscape. The overall outcome exceeded client expectations, creating a calm and surrounding garden aligned with nature and the surrounding area. Uncovering a Gem was indicative of our quality craftsmanship and use of sustainability, and exemplifies our commitment to beautiful landscapes throughout Atlanta and the surrounding.
