About This Project

Summary: Modern Patio in Atlanta, Georgia At Tilting Windmill Landscape Design, we are excited to present the recreation of a residential space into a modern Patio located in Atlanta, Georgia. This showcases modern style while maintaining connection and respect for the natural landscape. The design includes a large multi-level bluestone paver patio, installed to allow the maximum transition between the indoor and outdoor living spaces. It includes stainless-steel railing that provides both safety and a stylish appeal. A custom fire pit was added to create a hang-out spot, while LED fixtures were implemented to illuminate the surrounding area for additional evening enjoyment. Several factors were examined while making the transition to the patio considering to the existing topography and required grading and drainage strategy to limit drainage pooling in the area. Our planning recognized those possibilities, and LG, will add support and function to the design for years to come. To add seasonality and soften the hardscape, we implemented native planting and ornamental grasses into the landscape design plan. The outcome is a stunning outdoor space that expands living area while satisfies the clients' lifestyle and design aesthetic. The clients now have a stunning outdoor space as an extension of their indoor space for entertaining guests and chilling, looking up at the stars.
