The was completed in an established neighborhood and turned an uninspired yard into an exciting outdoor space. Our team created a multi-use outdoor space that included a beautiful palette of native plantings that supported both biodiversity and sustainability. Permeable pavers were installed to ensure proper drainage while also providing a modern aesthetic for the paths throughout the space. Additionally, a beautiful stone retaining wall was incorporated into the design to offer stability and elevates the aesthetic appeal of the property. We identified one notable challenge during the renovation, which was previous drainage concerns within the . Our team provided a detailed plan incorporating a rain garden, which offered an effective water management plan while helping to encourage local wildlife. The aesthetics of the rain garden were a bonus, and we love that our designs positively impact the ecology in the backyard. Other features included a peaceful hardwood seating area made from sustainably-sourced lumber, designed for gathering, and a stone fire pit that provides warmth and engagement on cooler Atlanta nights. We also focused our plant selections on drought-resistant varieties to limit upkeep and provide enjoyment for years to come. The outcome? A lovely transformation that the client absolutely loves, now blending beauty and function.
