West Hartford Manor At Wesley Stout Associates, we are excited to showcase the landscaping known as 'West Hartford Manor' which represents our focus on quality and innovation in exterior design. Located in the middle of West Hartford, this converted a sprawling estate into a beautiful outdoor oasis to match the majesty of the manor itself. This design features an intricate mix of native and ornamental plantings specially selected for biodiversity and beauty throughout the season. We created paths and seating areas from locally-sourced stone, and with the use of quality materials, our goal was to create a seamless connection with nature. In addition to retaining walls for stability, a custom-built retaining wall will enhance the flower beds and seasonal colors and beauty they provide. A significant challenge in the landscaping design was the varying topography of the site. However, our team implemented creative grading to provide a visual and physical flow through the landscape while maintaining features of the natural land. As part of our commitment to sustainable practices, we also included an irrigation system that uses water in the most efficient way possible. The highlight of the is the water feature, including a fountain with cascading water in a naturalized planted area that compliments the tranquil sound of water and supports the serene experience of the landscape. We designed spaces for outdoor living, including areas for fire pits and a well-furnished patio for hosting and enjoyment. The end result is a stunning landscape that honors the client and enhances the beauty of West Hartford Manor. Our attention to detail and commitment to excellence has produced a landscape that has elevated this estate to a moment of beauty and a busy retreat, exemplifying the importance of looking forward to outdoor spaces having brilliance.
