Byram Shorefront Perched on a tranquil stretch of beach, the Byram Shorefront was designed by Wesley Stout Associates, and represents meaningful examples of landscape design in construction. The site, while initially worn by use and exposure, has been transformed into a beautiful waterfront destination for all to enjoy - a verdant landscape that host functional outdoor spaces, such as casual meetings with families, dinners with friends, or just relaxing under a shady tree! Major components of the Byram Shorefront include two native plant gardens that have been completely engineered to thrive around the coastal elements and provide an habitat to native wildlife. The materials weather-resistant composite decking, local stone, and other products contribute to the sustainable, durable design to offer longevity options against the elements of the coast. One of the main objectives of the was addressing a large part of the site that was experiencing erosion while keeping the natural beauty of the shoreline intact. Our talented team took proper measures to reduce the maintenance of the landscape through vegetative terracing and strategic boulder placement, both adding beauty while creating a natural layer of protection. In addition, one of the major improvements included a permeable path installation providing drainage for rain events, reducing erosion and runoff, but also allowing a direct route to the beach! The outcome expressed the natural beauty mixed with impeccable craftsmanship that has created a delightful space for the owner and visitors alike. The fire pit surrounded by seating, provides night time gathering experiences and an open lawn for lawn games or recreation, all shared by the view of the water.
