Hilltop Manor, Wesley Stout Associates Located on a scenic hillside, Hilltop Manor represents a significant accomplishment in luxury landscaping, made possible by the skilled team of professionals at Wesley Stout Associates. In addition to bidding on numerous properties throughout Cos Cob, Darien, and the Hamptons, this is a we were particularly proud to pursue due to our dedication to a level of creativity and quality that is sincere. The landscaping scheme included a combination of native plantings and specialty hardscape, designed to showcase the inherent beauty of the property. By using local stone, we built all of the elegant stone retaining walls and paths to both enhance the environment and ensure longevity. An intricate irrigation system was designed to promote sustainable nature, while allowing us to manage the water effectively and have green organic material throughout the four seasons. One of the critical landscape challenges included the steep terrain of the property, which required creative thinking and planning. We worked hard to build a tiered garden that provided a sense of interest and a method of erosion control to manage the steep landscape. Boulders and ornamental grasses were placed in the landscape to introduced lower natural barriers to improve terracing while adding depth and structure to the landscape. In addition to the tiered garden, we extended the outdoor living experience by designing a beautiful patio that included custom seating, fire pits, and an outdoor kitchen that made a great opportunity to entertain. The natural finish of the wood and stone tied the elements together and gave a sense of cohesive organization to the landscape in addition to the elegance required for Hilltop Manor. We were all very pleased with the end result and the s brought together our talent and creativity into an atmosphere that delighted the client and visitors. The overall effect of the landscape is peaceful yet classy. Wesley Stout Associates once again demonstrated our skill and ability to take challenges and turn them into an opportunity by creating a brilliant outdoor living space that fits into its surroundings and improves the experience of Hilltop Manor.
