Narrative: Back Country Modern Wesley Stout Associates offers the 'Back Country Modern' landscape , a remarkable amenity turned into a picturesque property in the tranquil tapestry of North Stamford Connecticut. This process combines forward design with the inherent beauty of the property. The include a thoughtfully designed plan to support native plant life in the local ecosystem, with a low maintenance footprint. Elegant ornamental grasses and bold perennials were utilized, arranged to provide color and texture throughout the seasons, fostering lively visual interest. Pathways and patios were constructed in natural stone, facilitating a modern aesthetic in a durable system for the potential longevity of the materials. Natural boulders and locally sourced granite were ultimately supplied in our choice of bluestone. Perhaps, the most difficult obstacles during the were establishing inviting outdoor spaces on-site, which was particularly steep. In addition to other inventive designs, our team designed terraced gardens and retaining walls; using natural boulders and timber to provide a functional and stylish component to the landscape in order to promote usable space. This method was effective as a functional and aesthetic solution for terraces while addressing problems with drainage and erosion due to the slope of the land, in addition to facility their capacity for water runoff. As a result of 'Back Country Modern,' the client obtained an oasis, inclusive of a significant outdoor living space curated for eating and entertaining and designed with a fire pit and custom seat. The land provided ease for engaging and comfort when hosting both family and friends through the use of a comprehensive plant palette with electronic emphasis on lighting, while the ability to enjoy the space was accessible through 7 days a week encompassed with ambiance after the sun went down. Subjectively, our final design was satisfying to the client, politely expressing appreciation for all and the mapping methods designed transitioned lifelong modern elements from the natural landscape.
