Conyer's Classic Wesley Stout Associates is pleased to present 'Conyer's Classic,' an impressive landscaping which remade a private estate into an elegant outdoor retreat. Located in scenic Greenwich, this is a true example of our dedication to quality workmanship and original designabilities as we have done for our clients within the tri-state area and beyond, including the Hamptons and Washington D.C. The began with an exhaustive site analysis that permitted us to understand the distinctive topography and ecological conditions of the property. Our team had to contend with an uneven site and existing drainage issues, which we approached through grading and a specialized drainage system. This improved the functionality of the site and prepared the site itself for the lush planting that will follow. Conyer’s Classic highlights an assortment of native plantings that will bloom at different times throughout the seasons, which facilitates biodiversity and lessens the maintenance. Selected from a wide-variety of native ornamental grasses, flowering shrubs, and perennial bulbs, the plantings provide color and texture to the landscape while facilitating movement throughout the site. The native plantings were paired with hardscape elements, including the custom bluestone patio and stone walking paths, which strengthen the outdoor character of the natural environment. All construction elements were built to last and environmentally friendly. The bluestone was sourced locally and installed by our artisans with precision creating a seamless transition to the landscape while supporting the local craft of masonry. The design included a water feature with the intention of providing a calming experience and encouraging wildlife to visit the property. The water feature becomes a point of consideration for the property itself; a visual anchor to draw the eye into the mind of the designer and into a place of tranquillity. Conyer's Classic resulted in an exquisite landscape that honors the client's vision, while respecting the natural identity of the site. The resiliency of the construction and quality materials contributed to restoring the estate with a beautiful landscape.
