The Classic Colonial by Wesley Stout Associates Wesley Stout Associates is pleased to present the 'Classic Colonial' landscape , a stunning reimagining that embraces the evitable beauty of a historic house located in Fairfield County. The highlighted our craftsmanship and attention to detail, serving clients in chic towns like Greenwich, Westport, and Stamford. The design brings together traditional uses while employing contemporary landscape techniques. Our team hand-picked native plants such as boxwoods and hydrangeas, allowing the space to benefit from lush hedges and carefully curated flower beds that bring color through each season. In addition, we used fieldstone for the pathways and granite for the steps to add to the architecture while providing a natural feel from the spacious front lawn to the front door. We also faced challenges such as uneven terrain and existing infrastructure. Our landscapers addressed these challenges using a tiered garden design, creating functionality, depth and interest, while maximizing space. Permeable pavers were used as both the driveway and the pedestrian walkways, which offered accessible drainage as well as a classic look. The exceeded our expectations. The integration of plant materials and hardscapes created a tranquil outdoor oasis for relaxation and entertaining. The client remarked during the update that the look of the landscape was significantly updated and perfectly matched the traditional home, while also allowing for modern use.
