Fall and Winter Containers designed by Pierce Hill Design, Ltd. At Pierce Hill Design, Ltd, we love creating outdoor spaces that inspire inviting outdoor spaces through each season. Our most recent , “Fall and Winter Containers,” embodies our focus on craftsmanship and innovation while serving clients in the beautiful areas of Westchester County and Northern Westchester County. This involved providing remarkable seasonal containers that helped enhance our client’s property while highlighting the rich color and texture of fall and winter. We sourced a variety of plants from the surrounding area and included ornamental cabbage, kale, pansies and seasonally sourced evergreens that overwinter form and persistence through the winter months. One of the challenges was to fit those containers within the context of the existing landscape and obtain a cohesive style that worked in harmony with the natural landscape of the property. Our design team took great care in conceptualizing each container arrangement, thinking existing sunlight, exposure, and site conditions. The result was aesthetically pleasing and bold focal points at the front of the house, patio, and pathway. The result was a series of eye candy containers splashed with plenty of colors and textures that brought joy to our client and any passerby. Each container was a seasonal work of art with layers of plantings built to hold visual interest and diversity, even through the deepest of winter. Our client was delighted with the transformation and noted that, "The containers added warmth and charm to our home in the winter months."
