About This Project

Bridgeport Residence by LandStudio Located in Coral Gables, this demonstrates the expertise of LandStudio in designing outdoor spaces into beautiful landscapes. The design aimed to complement the existing architecture and enhance the overall beauty of the residence. The landscape transformation includes a beautifully designed outdoor living area with custom stone patio made of locally sourced coral stone that serves as a resilient yet exquisitely finished surface for gatherings. An assortment of tropical plants, including hibiscus, bougainvillea, and palm trees, were selected not only for their beauty but also for their low maintenance, ensuring the landscape stays colorful in this subtropical climate. One of the primary challenges was the slope of the property, which formed the requirement for some grading techniques, as well as retaining walls. Our skillful team was able to get around this, thus creating tiered planting beds that increase depth and enhance drainage, limiting erosion and developing positive growth of all plants. A radiant water feature incorporated at the end of the landscape designan ultra-modern fountain that serves as both a visual focal point while bringing a tranquil sound. This feature also serves as a game changer for all local birds and wildlife taking a look around the property and enjoying the space. Designed into the features of the home and landscape are architectural and LED landscape lighting, to emphasize the architecture of the home and vegetation during daylight hours and for lounging in the evenings. In the end, the Bridgeport Residence landscape was not just a stunning exteriorbut rather an extension of the client's lifestyle for entertaining guests, or spending time with family at home.
