Brentwood Landscaping by Seedlings Landscape Design Build In the beautiful neighborhoods surrounding Austin, Seedlings Landscape Design Build presents the 'Brentwood ', a balance of nature and art for enrichment of outdoor living. This residential landscaping converted a simple yard area into a beautiful landscape for the client’s vision while working with the site's natural slope. The landscape included various types of landscaping features, such as a prominent stone walk path made of locally-sourced limestone that led to a peaceful meditation garden. The meditation garden showcased a stunning selection of native plants such as colorful Texas sage and hardy agave plants that were chosen because they unite low-maintenance characteristics while thriving in climates typically found in Texas. In addition to the garden, we added an irrigation system that used modern technology to care for each plant and conserve water. One design challenge we faced during the Brentwood was dealing with the slopes. We determined an effective solution would be to address elevation through terracing and also the use of retaining walls constructed with local durable natural stone. This allowed for both functionality and beauty while also creating several drainage options. The challenge that could have been a negative became an opportunity to add beauty and usability. In addition to the hardscape features, the also included a warm outdoor gathering area with a fire pit in the landscape surrounded with great seating for family and friends to enjoy evenings together around a fire and stars. For the seating area, we chose premium-ranking materials that are designed to withstand the elements but still look good, for enjoyment all year long. When the Brentwood reached completion, the final exceeded the expectations of the client and outdoor living space was a beautiful existence merging the calmness with pleasure. After our route moments through every level of the hardscaping, the finished landscape design created a striking combination of hardscape with beautiful green gardens adding to the property's curb appeal while providing the family their own outdoor area for enjoyment for years to come.
