Regents Park Seedlings Landscape Design Build is excited to showcase Regents Park, an incredible landscape transformation in West Lake Hills. This complete landscape demonstrates our commitment to quality and innovation for this unique climate and terrain in Austin. Our team designed a tranquil retreat that fits well with the natural surroundings. Elements of the design include a vast assortment of native plants, stone paths throughout the garden, and a custom-designed water feature for both a beautiful focal point and a natural habitat for local wildlife. Landscaping materials included local limestone and native, drought-resistant material that supports a sustainable operation. One of the expected challenges was a varying elevation of 2-4 feet across the back yard with rocky soils. The design team was able to introduce terraced gardens with depth and interest while addressing drainage issues for the yard. The design team also installed an irrigation system to ensure a level of sustainability and functionality, particularly during the summer when temperatures climb higher. The entire setting reflects balance between beauty and function, providing the client with an appropriate place for relaxing or entertaining friends and family. The use of colors and textures paired with the sounds of the moving water blend in the entire backdrop of the garden and creates a perfectly peaceful place.
