Located in the stunning West Lake Hills area, the shows the process behind a complete redesign of a residential garden that captures both beauty and function. The Site featured a sloping grade, presenting us with a series of logistical challenges. We were able to use tiered garden beds built with locally sourced limestone to provide elevation, and improve drainage, and increase aesthetic appeal in the process. The use of native plants that are drought tolerant supports sustainability as well as vibrant landscape interest year-round. The Exeter included an alluring stone path that leads to the private patio area designed for leisure and entertainment. The patio area is covered in flagstone and is enhanced with numerous colorful perennial flowers that attract pollinators and provide meaning for the client in supporting biodiversity. Our team also constructed a custom irrigation system intended to increase water efficiency while remaining in the scope of responsible water use. Our team of landscape architects worked closely with the client to select materials that resonate with the style of the house to achieve a cohesive design. The previously uneven ground was converted into opportunities, which resulted in a charming water feature that draws attention while providing pleasant sounds. Ultimately, the client is extremely satisfied with the balance of natural elements and design. The Exeter is illustrative of Seedling Landscape Design Build's professionalism in delivering high-quality, customized landscaping efforts that embrace the needs of our clients and share their vision while improving the natural beauty of Texas landscapes.
