Description of the Kalorama Traditional by Horn & Co. Horn & Co. (previously JHLA) is proud to present the 'Kalorama Traditional' landscaping , a remarkable of traditional beauty and fine craftsmanship. Located in the beautiful Kalorama neighborhood, the perfectly combines traditional design with modern day use and serves our clients in all aspects of Alexendria, Arlington, Bethesda and the surrounding area. The is made up of work and landscaping elements that include beautiful perennial gardens, unique stone walks, and a delightful patio area for gathering outdoors. We used the highest quality local materials, including natural bluestone and reclaimed brick to ensure durability and beauty. The thoughtful plant selections are made up of native shrubs and flowering plants that provide beauty and sustainability throughout the seasons. An important element we faced was that the site grade was particularly uneven. We changed the ground surface and amended the soil in preparation for the planting to create a seamless transition between the grades. We also adjusted our techniques to accommodate and correct drainage issues while we planned out the landscaping of the property. Our team focused on ensuring that the landscape would not only look beautiful but would also function properly regardless of the weather. Out clients were ecstatic with the final outcome of the . The outdoor space is beautiful and works exceptionally well with the historic architecture of their home. The walks, guides and planting work beautifully together to complete the 'Kalorama Traditional' landscape. This not only enhances the value of the property but also supports and enhances the community. It is truly a gem in the heart of Kalorama.
