This beach style epitomized outdoor living in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in North Dallas. We were hired to transform a simple backyard into a luxurious escape and provided the client with a beautiful design that complements the home's architecture, all while enhancing the natural beauty of the outdoor space. The pool serves as the focal point of this transformation. The modern pool design provides simple lines that reflects the tranquility of the water feature. The pool features a pebble pool surface that is durable and provides texture to the pool bottom and walls. A beautiful travertine coping surrounds the pool and is slip resistant, providing a smooth transition from water to land safety and aesthetically. The deck area provides ample space for lounging, and there's a pergola to provide shade with climbing vines accentuating dining and enjoyment outside. The landscape plants were selected for their ability to provide lush greenery while using little water, including native Texas plants, fulfilling a commitment to sustainable landscaping. Decorative boulders were used for visual interest and gravel was utilized to help with drainage needs to solve water retention issues that existed desired time. One of the more significant challenges was minimal grading in the overall design for the uneven terrain of the backyard. The team faced the challenge with creativity, implementing design solutions to address the issues while focusing on design and drainage to create a clean, aesthetic level look. The final product demonstrated seamlessness between functionality and beauty, and the client now has a peaceful oasis to escape year-round.
