Studio 342 Landscape Architecture - Puget Sound Landscape Located in the middle of the Pacific Northwest, our 'Puget Sound Landscape' represents a collaboration between natural beauty and design efficacy, accomplished through the artistry of the designers at Studio 342 Landscape Architecture. Our team serves the communities of Alderwood Manor, Ballard, Bothell, and the surrounding Puget Sound region while providing precise and detail-oriented service to benefit and enhance a beautiful outdoor space. This implements an extensive selection of native plantings to create a visually stunning garden while maintaining a sustainable ecological design. The drought-resistant native plantings, including ornamental grasses and perennial flowers, not only enhance the aesthetics of the landscape, but they also contribute to local biodiversity. Mixed materials, like locally sourced stone for paths and retaining walls, help a design fit into the local vernacular while also securing a long-lasting quality to survive the changing climate of the Pacific Northwest region. A key challenge of the is the variation of the topography across the site. This requires creative solutions to maximize the landscape's performance while maintaining proper drainage and soil health. The team utilized advanced grading techniques and a clever irrigation plan to support water sustainability measures while maintaining a healthy garden. The final design results in a vibrant landscape quality similar to the surrounding beauty of Puget Sound, complete with inviting outdoor living spaces, relaxing water features, and abundant gardens to provide a reprieve for the homeowner.
