Our newest , "Seasonal Plantings," demonstrates our commitment to quality landscaping in Westchester County and its surrounding communities, such as Armonk, Chappaqua, and Bedford Hills. The "Seasonal Plantings" included carefully selecting and installing seasonal plants, working to create an experience that provides visual excitement, sensory engagement, and year-round color to take full advantage of the landscape aesthetic. Our talented team selected a range of perennials, annuals, and ornamental grasses that not only thrived in the conditions provided but enhanced the features of the landscape that already existed. Along the way, one of the challenges we encountered was the change in sun exposure throughout the site. After we conducted an analysis of the planting site, we were able to identify the best area to plant each species and maximize its given light exposure. We incorporated a high-quality and organic soil amendment and mulch to increase the overall drainage capacity and sustainability of the plants given the soil structure. The design highlighted a layered approach in our planting pattern, where taller plants were placed near the back, with smaller plants near the front, assuring depth, height, and color. Additionally, we used native species that encouraged ecological interactions, such as predation and pollination, while advocating for biodiversity throughout the landscape. The outcome was a canopy of colors layered and textured in a unique fabric that encouraged engagement, changing the outdoor space into a vibrant, animated place. The client was ecstatic with the result! The seasons naturally changed the colors while the plantings integrated seamlessly into the overall landscape. The added native species added ecological function and long-term sustainability for minimal upkeep.
