Greenwich Backcountry Wesley Stout Associates is excited to introduce the Greenwich Backcountry , a stunning case study in landscape transformation that embodies the relationship between nature and luxury living. Located in the heart of Greenwich, our was well suited to take on the challenge of a sprawling lot that provided our landscape architecture design team with a fun and interesting . The involved various aspects of landscaping, including beautifully designed native plant gardens that thrive in the east coast climate, providing habitat for wildlife while requiring minimal maintenance. Materials used in these gardens were on site and locally sourced, such as the stone used for pathways and retaining walls that adds an aesthetic appeal while maintaining the visual of nature. One of the challenges to the was the topography of the site, which required integrated drainage to prevent pooled water irrigation and prolong plant life. Drainage was aesthetically integrated to further manage water flow while also maximizing what could easily have been a problem into beautiful rain gardens. In addition, an outdoor living room with a custom stone patio, fire pit, and seating created an outstanding place for families and friends to come together, while also being illuminated with lighting to highlight the architectural features of the landscape to create a wonderful space into the evening hours. The landscape transformation is beautiful, adds value to the property, and fulfills the clients hopes of a beautiful and useful outdoor experience. The Greenwich Backcountry exemplifies the quality craftsmanship and concepts provided by Wesley Stout Associates, leaving the clients excited to share their awesome outdoor living space with family and friends.
