This transformation displays the company‘ commitment to quality craftsmanship and innovative design with the specific environmental conditions of the Central Coast. The vision for Rustic Haven was to create a relaxing outdoor space that blends gracefully with the natural setting but importantly creates usable areas designed primarily for relaxing and entertaining. To support its vision, the team selected a variety of native plant materials, which are not only visually appealing but will support local biodiversity. The native drought-tolerant plants selected, such as California poppies and lavender, are sure to offer sustainability and low maintenance to the natural environment. A primary feature at Rustic Haven is the owner designed pathway that made from artisan crafted stone from a local quarry in granite. The path not only provide a way for guests to navigate the landscape but has a rustic feel to complete the natural setting too. The firm also established an inviting fire pit area incorporated with patina-finished natural boulders used as a gathering space among family and friends under the stars. K & D Landscaping faced multiple challenges from the steep site conditions to existing issues with drainage, however, our team worked closely with the owner to develop a complete drainage system to redirect the water focused on preventing erosion and existing elements of the landscape. The attention to detail and the engineer's approach provided the high quality of finish that we strive for and take pride in throughout our s. The final product was beyond the owner's expectations. The environmental landscape has been rehabilitated into an oasis to relax and entertain.
