Modern Coast by K & D Landscaping, Inc. K & D Landscaping, Inc. is pleased to introduce 'Modern Coast', an exceptional landscape that reaches to connect modernism with the beauty of the California coast. Located in the beautiful community of Seacliff, this landscape is another indication of our commitment of quality, creativity, and client satisfaction. The planting design for Modern Coast is composed of a diverse selection of native drought-resistant plant materials, selected to maintain a coastal aesthetic, while being suitable to the local climate. Clean concrete pavers were uses for walking pathways that take the individual into the space encompassed by greenery and framed by appropriately placed boulders that provided a sense of calmness with the surrounding space. One of the primary challenges was with the slope of the property. Given the slope we had to devise to maintain stability and navigate the site appropriately. Our skilled team developed tiered planting beds to tackle the slope, while adding to both depth and dimension found in the landscape. The tiered planter created opportunities for plant materials to expose itself to ample sunshine while providing a beautiful view within the landscape. K & D Landscaping, Inc. uses quality materials that include sustainably sourced stone such as for retaining walls and modern composite decking for seating areas. The materials were quality and able to withstand the coastal elements found in California. With the use of low-voltage LED lighting that highlights the landscape at night, this creates an inviting space for outdoor gatherings while entertaining. This ended its stellar working relationship with the client and took their outdoor area and displayed a leisure modern oasis that demonstrates who the clients are. With all acknowledgement to functionality and aesthetics within landscaping blend, Modern Coast livens up the display of K & D Landscaping to take the top of the list of every quality section of landscaping.
