SF Ingelside Terrace by The Garden Route Company The SF Ingelside Terrace in the heart of San Francisco embodies The Garden Route Company’s signature blend of beauty and function. This large-scale landscaping required careful planning and detailed coordination as our team converted a typical urban yard into a lush, welcoming outdoor space. The features an impressive collection of native and drought tolerant plants that thrive in our area while using the least amount of water. We also designed and constructed a lovely stone path out of locally sourced granite that meanders through the garden, providing access and encouraging exploration. Raised garden beds were designed to give our client an opportunity to grow vegetables and herbs in the event that space was at a premium. One of the significant challenges we faced was the steep slope of the property, which required creative solutions for drainage and erosion stability. Our talented and experienced team designed a tiered garden with natural boulder retaining walls that fit with the site. The retaining walls were not only beautiful but, more importantly, they provided approved drainage. The outcome is beautifully calming and idyllic and includes a seating area shaded by a pergola for climbing vines. Our client was ecstatic, which is an essential part of Garden Route’s commitment to quality and detail craftsmanship. It really was a collaborative effort to enhance the beauty and functional character of the property while providing a personal oasis for the family that respects the natural world inherent to the modern landscape.
