About This Project

Welcome Home K & D Landscaping, Inc. is excited to share the ‘Welcome Home’ , a remarkable transformation in Santa Cruz County. This thoughtfully designed landscape represents warmth and relaxation, becoming a peaceful oasis for the residents. The design incorporates a balanced mix of native plantings, bold and bright perennials, and ample green foliage that not only beautifies the property but also supports sustainable practices. Our team faced the complexity of sloped land and needed to carefully design for water drainage while also mitigating erosion. We built a few different natural stone retaining walls around the property, which were aesthetically designed to contribute to the natural landscape and be functional for the overall design. The walls provided a unique way to delineate different garden spaces while creating a tiered appearance, which enhances space throughout the property. Sustainability was our top priority on this , so we used locally harvested stone and reclaimed wood as decorative landscape borders. We also enhanced the overall design with a custom-designed water feature, complete with a waterfall, creating a serene environment that increased habitat for local wildlife. The was an amazing success with the end result being an incredible outdoor oasis, which includes a winding path between colorful flowers and fragrant herbs. The clients were thrilled with the transformation and stated that it not only increased the curb appeal of their home but also created a special place for families to gather or to be alone at the end of the day.
