Ocean Views on Opal Cliffs K & D Landscaping, Inc. has completed this beautiful d Ocean Views on Opal Cliffs. This is an amazing representation of the synergy between nature and design. Located at one of the most beautiful locations along the coastline, this expansive landscape renovation exemplifies our commitment to quality and innovative design. The had a multi-tiered garden that invited the expansive ocean views. The native plants such as coastal sage and succulents, all suffering from the salty air, were selected with attention to sustainability and low maintenance. The natural stone pathways, varying in width, are made of locally sourced granite, they invite people to walk through the landscape, and they serve as a durable attractive practical surface. The steepness of the site offered some of the major challenges, which were handled by shaping the terracing and establishing criteria for erosion mitigation. Additionally, we put in an elaborate drainage system that protects the footprint of the property while enhancing the natural beauty of the planting and geology with rain gardens. The focal point of the landscape is the outdoor living area, which features a customized fire pit with seating made from reclaimed wood. This area is designed to invite people to gather, whilst also not blocking the view of the Pacific. Lastly, a variety of outdoor lighting features was installed to highlight the surface contours and provide security and safety for evening use. Overall, we shaped and created a beautiful landscape while capturing the natural beauty of the coastline and the personal vision of the client. The overall layout created with durable quality products and workmanship exceeded expectations, and we converted a section of someone's outdoor space into a peaceful escape.
