Summary: Competition for Proposed Modern In-Town Residence This thoroughly planned , completed by The Coastal Landscape, included detailed landscaping of a proposed modern house located in Bremen. The objective was to create a space that connected outdoor space with the sharp lines of an architectural build an outdoor built environment that offered spaces to relax and entertain. We utilized many quality materials, including stone gathered locally for pathways and patios, which ultimately reflected the modern design, while withstanding the coastal fill, and served as an investment for durability. We also used native plant material, like ornamental grasses and flowering perennials, which thrive in the landscape to emphasize biodiversity, and reduce water. One of the challenges we faced during installation was the site was sloped. Our design team planned tiered planting beds, retaining walls, which ultimately turned the landscape into an inviting multi-level experience. Not only did it add interest, but the design also created unique spaces for outdoor experiences featuring a fire pit and ample seating surrounded by lush greenery. The end result was a landscape that beyond met the client expectations. It truly tied modern design to native plants, creating an inviting oasis in the middle of town. The detail and craftsmanship were evident to the client, who was more than thrilled, and established The Coastal Landscape as an innovative residential landscape design company in Bremen.
