Vineyard Herb Garden by The Coastal Landscape Nestled in the scenic town of Bremen, The Coastal Landscape has successfully completed the Vineyard Herb Garden , changing a poorly utilized space into a good, high functioning, and enjoyable space. The garden features a vast collection of herbs, including basil, thyme, rosemary, and mint, arranged in large, raised cedar planters for ease of use and rustic aesthetic appeal. A main impediment to this was the slope of the land, which needed to carefully consider a drainage solution to allow water to escape, rather than pool, thus allowing the plants to thrive. Our able team were able to carefully level the ground and build an inconspicuous, yet effective drainage solution while maintaining the natural grade of the landscape. To create a successful and smooth access point through the garden itself, while showcasing a variety of textures of the herbs, the also included a decorative gravel pathway throughout the garden, bordered by native wildflowers that create color and attract beneficial pollinators to help support biodiversity. The quality of the garden was outlined by utilizing sustainable materials - like locally sourced stone and organic soil amendments - that both supported the growth of the herbs, and sustainable gardening practices. Ultimately, the client could not have been happier with the outcome, which not only fulfilled their expectations, but also became an inviting space for cooking and enjoyment. The client continued to praise the attention to detail and how well the garden matched with their existing outdoor area.
