Master Plan for Maine Organic Farm Executed by The Coastal Landscape, our 'Master Plan for Maine Organic Farm' in Bremen was a successful synthesis of function and beauty, intended to enhance the farm’s organic mission. This significant landscape included the design and installation of native plant gardens, an organic vegetable garden, and a pollinator habitat. The Coastal Landscape was able to utilize sustainable materials like locally sourced stone pathways, reclaimed wood borders, and biodegradable mulch to achieve a landscape that supports soil health and biodiversity. Like many coastal Maine area, we encountered site issues, rocky terrain, and inhospitable weather during development. The Coastal Landscape utilized our skills of building raised beds and drainage for those crops and commercial operations from excess moisture and to keep the site accessible. Out of the process came a beautiful landscape that fit the needs for the practical use of the farm and create a community engagement and education space. The clients were excited the entire process and were able to highlight the connection of their landscape to their organic mission statement. The was made possible due to The Coastal Landscape's experience with quality craftsmanship and organic practices that fit with the needs of the Bremen community.
