The White House Landscape Completed by Paul Hendershot Design, Inc., the 'White House' landscaping is a beautiful demonstration of modern design and nature's beauty in the center of Ojai. Our team moved in to transform the yard into a backyard oasis blending art with nature and function. The landscape showcases a sophisticated assortment of native drought-tolerant plants that thrive in this climate while being sustainable and conserving water consumption. The features a beautiful hardscape made of natural stone pathways and decorative gravel which meanders through the beautiful gardens and leads to a welcoming outdoor living area. A stunning reclaimed wood pergola offers shade and interest, adorned with climbing vines, perfectly arranged to complement the rustic appearance. One of the 's greatest challenges was overcoming the uneven topography and rocky soil to build tiered planting beds. We explored your ideas and sourced amazing finishes with locally sourced stone and eco-friendly mulch to make sure that it would last while flattering the architecture of the home. The end product is a beautiful landscape that improves the curb appeal of the property and is ultimately a wonderful escape for the homeowner. The layers of color in beautiful flowers combined with aromatic herbs next to tree placements truly gives a sensory experience for the eyes and the spirit. The client was thrilled with the results of the and loved how the design naturally fits into the environment, as he said, "the perfect amount of elegance and sustainability."
