A Look into the “Glass House” by Paul Hendershot Design, Inc. Set in the natural beauty of Ojai, the Glass House by Paul Hendershot Design, Inc. provides an illustration of creative landscaping harmonizing with its naturally beautiful setting. The intention of this ambitious was to create a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience that enhances the beauty of the house and architecture with glass walls. The includes curated native plantings of drought-resistant succulents and wildflowers that supports local biodiversity and requires low maintenance. A beautiful flagstone pathway has been sourced from the local area and loops through the garden and guides visitors to various outdoor sitting areas, where every place is designed with wooden furniture in sustainable and local materials to encourage relaxation and meditation with nature. Variations in elevation were one of the challenges to contend with at the site, and Paul Hendershot Design, Inc. found a solution by stacking terraced planting beds for the best drainage and soil retention. This created a visual interest while providing a longer-lasting planting presence. Furthermore, a modern irrigation system has been integrated into the outdoor space that uses smart technology to conserve water and helps keep the landscape looking lush and colorful. The end result or final product of the Glass House is an awe-inspiring landscape that fits beautifully within the modern aesthetic of the home. The end product provides beauty and functional enjoyment to the client.
