Woodside 2007 The Woodside 2007 by Keith Willig Landscape Architecture, Inc. captures the essence of nature and design by transforming an expansive estate into a beautiful outdoor living space. Located in the idyllic Woodside region, the demonstrates the firm’s commitment to quality construction, innovative design, and horticulture service. The focus of the was to create a multipurpose outdoor living space that flows intimately with the existing natural topography. Occupying a portion of the landscape is a custom stone terrace made with locally sourced granite that forms the gathering point for the space. A variety of native plant materials were installed around the terrace to enhance the beauty of the terrace, but also build biodiversity. One of the main challenges in the was addressing the steep slope across most of the site. Addressing the slope required creative grading plans and installation of terraced gardens. Employing sustainable designs, we incorporated a rain garden to manage stormwater runoff, improving both the beauty of the landscape and the resilience of the landscape. Drought-tolerant plants were also incorporated to help with water usage. The final product is a beautiful landscape that is a true representation of the client’s expectations of calm and sophistication. The design of the landscape includes colorful flower beds, meandering walkways, and suitable seating areas that invite exploration and tranquil repose. The cohesive attention to detail, quality materials, and skillful craftsmanship resulted in a place that delighted the client at the beauty of their new outdoor living space. Woodside 2007 is a testament to Keith Willig Landscape Architecture, Inc.'s commitment to aesthetic, and bespoke landscapes that towards enhance the natural beauty of the Bay Area what creating beautiful places for clients to enjoy anytime.
