At Keith Willig Landscape Architecture, Inc. we enjoy converting residential outdoor spaces into beautiful escapes for connection and relaxation. Our recent called 'Firepits (Various s)' exemplifies this focus with unique firepit installations in the lovely communities of Atherton, Cupertino, Emerald Lake Hills, and beyond. Each firepit was thoughtfully reviewed to ensure it would complement the landscape, while also providing a focal point for family and friends to gather. Each installation was built with high-quality materials - durable stone and fire-resistant metal - to ensure years of enjoyment while withstanding the forces of nature. The team incorporated natural stone seating to provide overall comfort and a welcoming feeling to the space. Each posed interesting challenges, like most landscapes, each site had its own unique topography and contours. In some cases, we remedied the steep slopes with retaining walls to create level seating areas, keeping safety, aesthetics, and usability in mind while working within the natural beauty of each property. During the design stages, it was important to consider how the installation would allow for proper drainage and erosion. Upon successful completion, the results were spectacular! Clients were thrilled with their custom firepit area that helped elevate the landscape and provide an amazing spot for lounging and stargazing in the evenings. Most importantly, these fireplaces have become valued elements in their homes - adding outdoor living value and living value to their existing properties.
