Boyce Rain Garden at Magee Design Magee Design is thrilled to present the Boyce Rain Garden, an excellent landscaping design that balances beauty and environmental stewardship. Located in the Boyce area, this rain garden was carefully designed to handle stormwater runoff while enhancing the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. Our team of experts used native plants, including beautiful wildflowers and resilient grasses, to provide both a garden that effectively retains rainwater and support biodiversity. The use of permeable pavers and natural stone accent stones serves a dual purpose of aesthetics and allowing water to infiltrate, reducing erosion and contributing to soil health. One challenge we faced was drainage problems on the property. Through a careful site evaluation and design solutions, we directed water into the rain garden rather than have it be an issue for the home. This required collaboration with hydrologists and an understanding of the local topography where the water could render its former problem area into a pollinator garden ecosystem. The result is a beautiful rain garden that fits well into the surrounding landscape and is lush and inviting to both the homeowners and local wildlife. The clients were happy with the garden as a solution to both functional stormwater as well as a nice green space to enjoy.
