About This Project

Greater Heights by L3 Designs Located in the lovely area of Katy, the Greater Heights by L3 Designs is a perfect example of our ethos of transforming outdoor spaces into beautiful living environments. This comprehensive landscaping involved a good amount of work converting the client’s backyard, which had severely struggled with poor drainage and an uninspiring layout. To address the drainage issues, our team used professional perforated piping, gravel beds and another comprehensive drainage system so that their rainwater flows away from the foundation of the home. We then built a beautiful multi-level terrace using natural stone from the area that flows seamlessly from the house to the garden. At the core of the is a bespoke wood fired heating pit with an intimate but carefully crafted seating space for our client to spend cozy evenings with family or friends. Beyond looks, everything used, including the choice of drought tolerant native plants, were designed with sustainability in mind so that the space is environmentally friendly. By combining weather tolerant ornamental grasses, flowering native shrubs and seasonal bloomers we created textures and colors that feel alive and always changing throughout the seasons. Across the , we were faced with a lot of challenges including uneven terrain with existing hard scape as well as vegetation that needed to be removed. Regardless, our team showcased flexible design thinking capability and created a beautiful outdoor experience for the client. The end experience was, a functional and polished surface beauty, delivered to the delight of the client.
