West University Place by L3 Designs In the heart of West University Place, L3 Designs just completed a stunning landscaping that took a classic residential home and turned it into a beautiful outdoor retreat. This exemplifies high-quality craftsmanship and design tailored to the unique needs of the clients. The landscape relies heavily on a mix of native plants selected for their natural durability and aesthetic value. We used a mix of colorful perennials, drought-tolerant shrubs, and ornamental grasses to provide year-round color. The space was also enhanced with a custom flagstone patio for family and friends to gather outdoors. The natural stone adds durability for the weather and complements the home's architecture. A critical concern of the in this area was the various degrees of slopes on the property and the need to make the appropriate grade to facilitate drainage and avoid a potential flooding problem. The was entertaining, as our team was able to design and develop a comprehensive drainage plan using French drains and bio-swales to maneuver through the varying topographies and ensure long-term functionality and beauty in good and bad weather. We also added a water feature composed of a waterfall and various plants surrounding the water. In addition to being a feature, it adds peace and tranquility that allows the homeowners to experience something different than the hustle and bustle of daily life. In the end, the was the ultimate outdoor space that connects to the existing architecture while elevating the appeal of the property as a whole. The clients were thrilled and loved our attention to detail and personal attention throughout the process.
