About This Project

Memorial by L3 Designs L3 Designs is proud to introduce ‘Memorial’, an exquisite that celebrates nature and tranquility in the center of Houston. This serves neighborhoods from Alief to West University Place and is dedicated to the standard of excellence which comes from proper landscaping. This memorial successfully integrates native vegetation with durable stone pathways and water features, creating a relaxing and tranquil setting. All the plants in the garden were purposely chosen for their drought tolerant nature to be environmentally responsible while providing seasonal beauty. A custom stone fountain was designed and built to provide a focal point and soothing sound to be experienced in the space. One of the challenges we need to solve was the variation in topography of the site. Grading to create drainage or proper ease of access were to be considered, however maintaining the native habitat was important to the overall experience. Our team worked hard to re-contour the area while staying mindful of the habitat, creating a desirable, inviting space that created flow for the landscape and enjoyed the natural setting. Additional features included a meditation garden space that included fragrant flowering plants with textural ground covers, as well as a custom seating area made from reclaimed timber for quiet contemplation. Using quality materials in the provided durability, showcased rebirth while complimenting the overall . The final expression delighted our clients. They envisioned a space that provided the memory for community aesthetic. This beauty combined with function provided a strong lasting impression and experience. The Memorial highlighted what L3 Designs stands for: beautiful, quality product and true involvement with the journey of solid landscape improvement for both you and nature as the backdrop for years to come.
