About This Project

Summary: Tract Home Transformed by Paul Hendershot Design, Inc. Located in the heart of Ventura County, this called 'Tract Home Transformed' represents the art and expertise of Paul Hendershot Design, Inc. This landscape started with a common tract home that did not have much character or appeal. Our task was to bring life to this property; we began by creating an outdoor space that was attractive, functional, and an oasis to enjoy. This included a complex design that integrated drought-tolerant, native California plants, and beautiful hardscape features. We presented only the best materials and products including permeable pavers and naturally rustic stone, with pleasing aesthetics that enhanced sustainability. We also created and installed a custom pergola to not only provide shade but to also become a main feature, creating an outstanding area for entertaining. One of the biggest points of challenge was to remake the unlevel yard into a tiered landscape, which flowed effortlessly from the home to the garden. We worked quickly to assess and correct drainage issues, ensuring the design was functional during heavy rain and did not compromise the beauty of the new landscape. We also selected a color scheme which worked with the house's paint scheme, utilizing the color of flowering plants and other greenery, to create a pleasing look throughout the entire year. The end results were spectacular! The original track home had been transformed into a beautiful destination space that included fantastic gardens, seating area, and paths that encouraged exploration. The clients were overjoyed to have a new place to enjoy that reflected their lifestyle and increased the property value. This demonstrated our attention to detail, creativity, and client satisfaction by taking a 'tract home transformed' to a new height showcasing the art of Paul Hendershot Design, Inc.
