About This Project

Ranger Rick's by Magee Design Located in the gorgeous Loudoun County, the Ranger Rick's landscaping shows how women and men at Magee Design create beautiful outdoor spaces. For our community from Aldie to Upperville, we were commissioned to develop an expansive property that had some degree of undulating terrain and disjointed existing design. The scope of this multifaceted encompassed various landscapes, such as a beautiful natural stone patio, designed to meld with the landscape creating an outdoor entertainment area that is inviting. Native species plants were selected for their sustainability for the property and its wildlife. The fire pit, with seating, serves as the campfire area that encourages togetherness around warmth, star gazing, and fireside chats. The slope of the property was one of the challenges that Magee Design faced as the team planned for soil erosion imbalances, form, and fun. A series of terraced garden beds, constructed from natural boulders acquired from local quarries, were incorporated into the design to both stabilize the soils but also offer rustic charm to the site. An elaborate irrigation system was developed to ensure plants were provided an adequate water supply while using as little water as possible. At the end of the , the client was entirely pleased with the completed space, covered in greens, flowers, manicured hardscapes, and maintained a balance of hardscapes and softscapes. Once the was completed, Ranger Rick's became a space for fun and relaxation demonstrating the detail to craftsmanship and the integrity of the work. We at Magee Design focus our services on creating high-quality landscapes that not only enhance the neighborhood, but also generate positive environmental effects.
