Slice of Paradise Developed by K & D Landscaping, Inc., the 'Slice of Paradise' represents the epitome of tranquil outdoor living, turning a simple backyard into a breathtaking retreat in Watsonville. The K & D team was undeterred by the challenges of working on a hill that had rocky soil, as we were able to work through significant planning and design to come up with a landscape that enhances its natural surroundings. The collection of tiered gardens will shape the space, both while enhancing the space and helping to alleviate some drainage issues. The use of locally sourced flagstone and natural boulders create the needed retaining walls without giving a stark or unnatural feel. A winding path takes you throughout the fragrant lavender and vibrant succulents. We built a fire pit complete with seating that invites friends and family to gather for a lovely outdoor experience that will provide countless memories. Everyone enjoys firing up a fire pit to create a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy their space well into the dusk. A few strings of patio lights are a perfect addition and pushes the time of day even further. At K & D Landscaping, Inc., we rely on sustainable practices and products to ensure a lifetime of durability for each undertaking we take on. It's not always easy to turn an ordinary backyard into a magnificent retreat, but our commitment and attention to detail did just that for our clients, transforming their backyard not only into a bonus space but also a true Slice of Paradise.
